Oops…Alberta may not get planted this weekend
Doreen may have to look for fast-growing sunflowers. LOL
The day before yesterday, we woke up to twenty brand new centimeters of snow. I think it might be a few more days before I can get out to beautify the tundra, as Bill so aptly put it. Bummer.

(Coming) Weekend Update…
Two of our Joanie Sunflowerseeds will be out and about Austin, Texas, this weekend, sowing smiles.
I will be doing the same thing in a few areas of Allentown, PA, and perhaps Danielsville, PA, (if the homeowner there doesn’t see this posting).

Word has reached us from Los Angeles that one of the first seedlings is now visible above ground. That is wonderful news. A picture was sent and I’m sure more will follow.
KMart has sunflower seeds of several varieties for $1.69 a packet. Yesterday I bought a packet of Jumbo, that go up to 12 feet, and dwarf, that go to 20 inches. The dwarf ones will be good for window boxes, deck boxes, flower pots along driveways and porches, anywhere a smaller sunflower would bring additional whimsey to a pot of petunias, or something boring like that.

Attn: S.S.W.A.T. Team…semi-important news
At the suggestion of one of our Seedy Members, this S.S.W.A.T. tumblog is now open to member/guest posts. Please don’t be rude to one another! But I’ll know if you are anyway, because i think the posts are queued for me to take a look at before they’re posted anyway. I am not sure how that works. In fact, I’m not sure how any of this works and I don’t even know if I set it up right. Have at it and we’ll see.
I will copy this activity to Col. Mustard, who is still in the library with Miss Scarlet.

Sunflower seeds from Sesame Street? Who knew! One of our S.S.W.A.T. Team members found these and they’re going in the ground all around Southwestern Illinois even as we speak.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
Good morning, Sunflowerseeders
A bright, sunshiny, and warm day here at the secret World Headquarters of SSWAT.
Thanking you in advance for your participation in making your corner of the world a little happier and a bit more colorful.
One of our members offered a tip yesterday: you can use a pen to punch a quick little hole in the dirt to drop the seeds into. That way, if caught, you’ll not be carrying any seed planting tools. And should you have a bottle of water with you, as many people do nowadays, a little drink could stir the germination process.
A question that I can’t answer is how to jog in place, if you’re out jogging and see a perfect spot. Jogging in place is one thing most do at stop lights, but bending over to plant seeds and jog in place, I can’t answer. Looks like you might fall on your head.
Now I’ll turn you back over to Prof. Plum.

There won’t be many posts made from this tumblog
It might get too confusing. i’ll allow my subordinate, Mr. Bill, to handle the bulk of the communication.

And there it is. NOW it’s official. And I’m tired of working on this today. lol
First post… Now it’s official
The SSWAT team has a home.
